When You Put a Little Heart Into Your Follow-Ups, You Will See Greater Returns!
Following up is easy when you listen to your client’s needs, wants and interests. But listening isn’t enough, you have to also track these interests and desires, so as business grows, you will remember the fine details. Knowing these details will give you many NATURAL ways of following up with your clients!
Emails sent with relevant information drive 18 times more revenue than broadcast emails, and emails with personalized subject lines are 26 percent more likely to be opened.*
So what does a relevant, or “natural” follow-up look like?
Let me share a few ideas with you here.
Go to your Fiitfu account and do a search for all clients that have ordered a particular product form you in the past. Your search could bring up 10 or 100 people, and if you sent an email to them all that looked like this, they would think you were speaking directly to them:
Hi {{client_first_name}}, I thought you would like to know this news as you ordered X in the past with me.
I know you have purchased this item in the past before, and I wanted you to be the first to know that it is on sale at 50% off this month! I wanted to be sure you were aware so you can replenish stock at half the price.
The above email will look like it was sent directly to one customer (Fiitfu will automatically populate the name for you), but you could send a relevant email to 100 people at the same time!
Similarly, you could contact all your past Hostess’s and thank them for being a host for you in 2021 and as a special treat, if they host again they will get a special gift from you. The gift should be something on their wish list 🙂
If you have referrals from clients, it is always good to go back to the original client that gave you the referral and keep them up to date with the status of their referral- referral programs can help increase your sales! Remember, each time you contact someone, it reminds them that you are still in business, and you are there to also service their needs.
Birthdays are another natural and easy way to stay connected with clients.
So how will you reach out to 10 customers today that you haven’t contacted in a long time? Find that natural way to connect, and get started!
REMEMBER, A follow-up is not always a Sales Call!
