How to Use Testimonials to Drive Business
Using testimonials in your marketing can be the deciding factor of whether someone will join your team, buy your product, or host an event for you!
In Direct Sales, you have many different benefits to offer clients, so you need to have distinct testimonials for each area. A potential Hostess would be more inclined to open up her home to her friends if she saw on your website (or in an email) a testimonial like: “I had Jane over to do a party with her amazing products, and it was way more fun, and much easier than I thought it would be. It was a wonderful opportunity to have my friends over AND I earned $100 in free products!”
Eye-catching testimonials can be a great way to book more events. When you reach out to your customers to host an event for you, add a testimonial to your email, or to the PDF that explains your company’s Host Rewards.
According to Nielsen research, 92% of people will trust a recommendation from a peer, and 70% of people will trust a recommendation from someone they don’t even know. The best way to get powerful testimonials is to ask for them, a great reason to follow-up 🙂
When you ask for a testimonial, ask very specific questions that will help to make this even more impactful. Here are some examples:
- For a Hostess Testimonial: How much set up did you have to do? Did you find it was easy to host the event? Did your friends enjoy themselves? How much did you earn in hostess rewards? Were you happy with what you earned in Hostess rewards? Would you recommend hosting an event to your friends?
- For a Product Testimonial: Does the product you are using make a difference? In what way did it make a difference? Would you recommend this product to others? Why would you buy this product again?
- For a JOIN MY TEAM Testimonial (ask your present consultants these questions, which will also be great feedback for you): Was it simple to get your business started? What made it an easy transition to start your business? How much money did you make in your first 30 days? Was starting your business easier than you thought it would be? How did my help, when you started your business, keep you focused? How were you supported by me and the company during the set up process?
Once you have your testimonials (Fiitfu Forms are a fantastic way to collect them), add quotes to your documentation that you send out, to your website, your signature and more!

Make sure to ask your customers for permission to share their testimonials, and if you may include their name as well.
