Don’t let the fear of follow-up get in your way of success!
Last night I did a webinar on Maximizing your Holiday Sales to make 2017 your best year ever.
Before the webinar, I asked people what holds them back from following up, and the answers came flooding in including:
- You need a good system
- You feel you need to be more organized
- Need to be more confident / Not believing in myself
- Fear of REJECTION / Fear of what others think
- Getting Started on Follow-Up is difficult, taking those first steps
- Inconsistency
- Actually just doing it
- Myself, preconceived idea that people don’t want to be bothered
- Time Management / Schedule
- I don’t talk to people well / coming off as pushy
- Overwhelming schedule Demands
- Energy
Do any of these resonate with you?
It was amazing to see the answers coming in, and although I can’t post the hundreds of posted feedback, I can group them in the above categories showing that Fear of Follow-Up is huge!
We at Fiitfu are committed to help you overcome that Fear of Follow-Up so that your business can thrive.
I will tell you, that the ONE BIG ISSUE that ties into all of the above is this, You don’t follow-up because you don’t know what to say, and you don’t know what to say because you don’t have a system that you use consistently. Lets change that with some ideas to get you started on following up now.
Number 1. You MUST realize, that a Follow-up is not always a sales call. This will help with so many of the fears outlined above. Write this down, put it on your desk, stop thinking you always have to ask for something, that is not what follow-up is about.
Number 2. You MUST have a system in place to track the conversations you have had with your clients, so that you can start to track your customers interests, and what your next steps will be with them.
Number 3. You MUST get started! Create baby steps, and once you get started, there will be no stopping you.
This webinar is a great way to get started, I cover 5 steps to reaching out to your present customers as well as past customers, with some great ways of doing that.
Lets fight this Fear Of Follow-Up!
