S.M.A.R.T Goals Are The Most Achievable Goals
2016 is going to come and go so quickly, and we know that many of the goals that people set for themselves include:
- Losing Weight
- Starting your own business
- Making more money
- Getting Organized
- Spending more time with their family
- Staying fit and healthy
So have you set your 2016 Goals? If you missed the “New Year’s Resolution” it is never too late to make Smart Goals.
A SMART goal helps you clearly state what your intention is and to give it a deadline.
SMART stands for: Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant and Time-bound
SPECIFIC. Be sure that your goals are very clear and concise. For example, “In 2016 I am going to build my business to $1,000,000 in sales this year”.
MEASURABLE. By being specific with your goals (such as a number and time-frame), you make them very measurable. $1,000,000 is easy to measure, and you can break it down to monthly, weekly or even daily goals to give you bench marks.
ATTAINABLE. Are you being realistic in your goals? Are they attainable, and are you willing to put in what it takes to get there? Goals can be lofty at times, but as long as they are realistic in the time frame that you set, you will not be disappointed. For instance, If you want to build your business this year, do you have what it takes to make this happen, the skill, the team, the hours in a day?
RELEVANT. Do your goals mean something to you? If you are making golas that don’t align with what you want, then you have less cause to make them happen. Make sure you are true to yourself.
TIME-BOUND. What is the time frame for your goals? Remember, a goal with out a deadline is just a dream.
Now write down your goals, and look back at them often. We will check in again and see how you are doing over the year 🙂
