Why Tracking Your Success will Help you Reach Your Goals
In order to get the most of tracking your succes, it's important to be as detailed as possible. Because when you track the things that matter, your revenue will increase, and the time you spend on your business will be much more effective.
Every thing we do in our businesses should be tracked. That way, a year (or two) from now, you can look back and see how succesful different events have been.
Some examples of things that should always be tracked in a direct sales business include:
- Number of Clients. Each month, it is important to track not only what clients you have, but also how many are new, and how many you may have lost. What campaigns or activity did you do to attract your new clients?
- Trade Shows. What was the cost, how many people did you meet, and how many people became clients, hostess's, or business builders with you. What was your return on investment after a year.
- Hosted events. Who was the host, what were your sales, how many parties has this host had, who has become re-occurring clients becasue of this host, and what worked well (or not so well) at her party. You also want to track how much would she have made if she were a distributor on your team:) This is a great technique to move them from being a super - host to a super - consultant
- Email Campaigns. When you do email campaigns be sure to track not only who bought from you, or who connected with you, but what it was that you were offering so you can see what is getting the best response. Clicks rates are great to review, but what you really want to know is how many people purchased, what did they purchase, what was my total sales from this email campaign and what made it better then the rest? Also, if your emali campaigns stimulate conversations wtih your clients, that is a great opportunity for continued follow-up.
